Sub Union of Seed Industrialists and Producers (TSÜAB) connected to Turkey Seed Growers Union (TÜRKTOB) was held "Seed Sectoral Trade Mission Program" in Hungarian capital, Budapest with the support of the Ministry of Economy.
34 member companies which operate in the field of cereals, industrial crops and vegetables seeding of TSÜAB were attended 14th Sectoral Trade Mission of TSÜAB organized between the dates of November 3-5. 43 bilateral meetings were made with 19 Hungarian companies.
Yıldıray Gençer stated that “The seed trade made between the two countries in seed sector is only about $ 8 million last year. This volume can be reached as soon as 50 million dollars” in his speech.
President of TÜRKTOB and TSÜAB Gençer stated that the seed market size of Hungary is in the first ten in the European seeding market and had a deep-rooted seed industry, “Turkey has also a large seed sector. We have the seed sector in comply with European Union standards and with qualified labor force, engaged in manufacturing in accordance with national and international regulations, having an ever growing market in seed. He said that; “We're here to catch our potential with Sectoral Partnership Programme prepared by our union organization''.
President of Hungary Seed Growers Union, Geza Takacs, Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, General Director of Agriculture Ferenc Speze, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, General Directorate of Plant Production, Unit Coordinator Alper Şahin, Ministry of Economics General Directorate of Export, Department of Agriculture, Branch Manager, Cengiz Karabayır made a speech emphasizing that the study carried out is very important and result oriented in order to increase the works of the institutions they represent and the seed trade volume between the two countries.
