"Turkish Seed Technologies, Seed, Sapling And Ornamental Plants Fair" opened its doors in Istanbul Expo Center on January 8, the fair held this year for the 5th time.

Turkey Seed Growers Association (TÜRKTOB) President, Yıldıray Gençer said that "Many agricultural fairs held in our country but we have organized such an exhibition with the idea of specialized fair in order to explain the importance of seed. Our desire is to highlight developments in the seed sector in our country through these types of fairs, and to share developments with our visitors and the public" in his speech at the opening of the exhibition.
- ''Elbow grease and labor are meeting with market"
Undersecretary of Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Vedat Mirmahmutoğulları is followed the fair since the first day and said that "It is obvious that how much I excited with the developments. Turkey steps into new age, before trades were general fairs. Agriculture, industry and service sectors were always together".
Undersecretary Mirmahmutoğulları also said that "Turkey, there was 4 billion dollars of exporting 10 years ago, now is exporting 18 billion dollars after feeding extra population of 13 millions. This situation shows that there is a serious development, this is where market meet the elbow grease and labor through these exhibitions".
Plant Production General Manager of Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Mevlüt Gümüş; Chairman of the Board and General Manager of General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises, Halis Bilden; Chairman of the Board of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, Varol Yıldız; President of the Federation of Turkey Market Hall, Yüksel Tavşan and many manufacturers domestic and abroad were attended the opening of fair.
Protocol members visiting the fair were paid attention to the products included in the fair following cutting of the opening ribbon.
The fair was visited until the evening of January 10.
